Restoration

Jesus did not come to Earth for one reason only. We know that he came to seek and to save the Lost. We know that he came to offer himself as a sacrifice for men sins but his coming was more than that! The Redemption that was planned by God for which Jesus Christ would come would end up in the restoration of God's Earth to what he had planned for it before the enemy inserted his will into God's plan. Jesus Christ came ultimately to restore the Earth to what God had created in the beginning, as the verses that follow will make clear:
(Rom. 8:18-22)
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
The entire creation will ultimately be restored. Heaven will be reunited with Earth and the kingdom of Jesus Christ will endure forever. Jesus Christ is presently the king of kings and Lord of lords but the entire creation has not yet been restored -- but it will be!
Read the last three chapters of the book of the revelation of Jesus Christ. which is the last book in the New Testament. You will see that there is a physical Kingdom that Jesus would rule over for 1,000 years --this is in our past At the end of that thousand years, the enemy, who had been bound in the bottomless pit would be released and would go about to deceive the Nations that would result ultimately in the Final War called the Battle of Gog and Magog. After this the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven to this earth. Heaven and Earth are again reunited which is what God intended from the original creation. Adam and Eve were to spread what God had created him for them and to fill the Earth. Were it not for sin entering into the Earth the entire Earth would have been like Eden. Man would not have sinned and would live forever. But God knew what would happen and he made a plan to restore it!
(Col. 1:20)
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Thank God that Jesus came and thank God that Jesus promised to come again!
The Bible actually reveals that Jesus would come four times, --not just twice.
