What is GODSTORY in the Past?

We don't know it all!

God has revealed what He has decided to have us know in the Holy Scriptures.

It did NOT "begin" with God, because God has no beginning!

IN THE BEGINNING?

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

Just know that this "in the beginning" was the beginning only for what God has done in His creation related strictly on the heaven and the earth.

God is the CREATOR of all things.  His heaven and earth creation is recorded for us in the book of Genesis, the first book of the Holy Bible.

Have you ever heard, "God is the God of beginning again."?  This is typically understood as God offering the opportunity for renewal, forgiveness, and a fresh start, allowing people to move past past mistakes and start anew in their lives; essentially, God is considered the source of new beginnings. 

This is most certainly true, but it is also true that God Himself "begins again."  There is more than one beginning, there are multiple "starting overs" with God.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:2

I believe that a formless and void earth reveals to us that there was a creation on this earth BEFORE the Genesis 1:1 creation.  I won't fight over this, but there are MORE destructions and new creations to come AFTER the Genesis 1:1 creation, so why not before?

God is God and He has not chosen to reveal tell us everything.  Some things are written down.  They are apparent.  Some things are OPENED.  Some things are CONCEALED.

God in His glory sometimes conceals.  Those that are wise will read, re-read and meditate and study God's written WORD and will observe and study God's created WORLD as well.

It is GOOD for us to search out matters that God has concealed.

WHAT HAS GOD CREATED? 

The Almighty God has create visible things and invisible things.  He has created things that we can see and things that we cannot see.  He has created physical things and spiritual things.  He has created physical beings and spiritual beings.

He has created a Family.

He created a heavenly family.  We are not told exactly WHEN He did this, but since it was before He created the earth that we now inhabit, it was in "eternity past."  TIME is a construct of this dimension in which we live.  God dwells in the eternal present.  Time, as we know it, matters not to Him. 

There is a FAMILY in heaven AND on earth.

The Heavenly Family of God

God created spirit beings BEFORE He created the earth that we are walking upon now.  The earth that we are walking upon NOW is a "new creation" (restart or reset) of earth after the world-wide destruction of the flood of Noah.

We generically refer to these spirit beings as angels.  However, the word "angel" is actually the description of an occupation rather than the identification of a group.

God has called some of the spirit beings his SONS.  This is, of course, an identification of offspring in a family.

God shows a man (Abram - Abraham ) to create a new nation (Jacob - Israel).

• Israel was to represent Him among the idolatrous nations.  (Gen. 12:2-3; Deut. 7:6-10; Psa. 135:4)

God sent his son to become the Savior of the world and the Eternal King of the earth.

• He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to become the Savior of the whole world.  (John 3:16-17; 4:40-42)
• The Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life (Heb. 4:14-15) and died a sacrificial death (1 Cor. 5:7; Rom. 5:8) and three days later arose from the grave. (John 2:19-21; 1 Cor. 15:1-4)
• He promised to return soon and he did! 

God created a new entity on earth and established a new covenant with Israel.

• He established the church and a new covenant with the nation of Israel that included both Hebrews and non-Hebrews (or Jews and Gentiles). (Matt. 16:13-20)

The New Covenant  was established through the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ. The new temple of the New Covenant would be the body of every individual that believed on Christ.  (1 Cor. 6:19)  The old Covenant was thereby eliminated.  (Heb. 10:9,18)

• God told Israel through His prophets that he would be creating a New Covenant with them in the future.  (Jer. 31:31-34)
• a sacrificial death of the perfect lamb Jesus Christ once for all  ended the old Covenant entirely.  (Heb. 10:1-12)

Any modern state of Israel, even if it were legitimately of the family of Abraham would  be in opposition to God as long as it rejected Jesus Christ as the king of kings and Lord of lords. To offer an animal sacrifice today would be the utmost of a rejection of the perfect Lamb of God  that died for the sins of the world once for all. (Heb 6:1-8)

• the Old Testament letter of the law was replaced by the holy spirit of God  (Rom. 7:6; 2 Cor. 3:6)
• the Law of the Old Testament was replaced with Faith in the New Testament (Gal. 3:2-5)
• there would be complete equality in the New Covenant Church (Eph. 2:11-22; Gal. 3:21-29)
