Has the New Testament Church replaced the Old Testament Israel?

Has the New Testament Church replaced the Old Testament Israel?  No, no, no, no! We (Gentiles) were added to the true Israel. We were grafted into the olive tree. God did not plant a new tree. We are a branch that is supported by the root of the original tree.

The New Covenant is not an idea that God came up with later.  His plan always included a New Covenant for Israel. They were promised the New Covenant n their Scriptures.

The New Testament separates and distinguishes three distinct groups: Jews, Gentiles, and the church.

1 Cor. 10:31-32

[31] Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
[32] Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

In the Church of Jesus Christ, there is no distinguishing between different nations, and there is no separation between Jews and gentiles. All are ONE in Christ.

The church has not replaced Israel.

I am very glad for this. I am so glad I don't have to worry about following all of those laws that God gave to Israel. Israel has been in a pretty bad way especially since they rejected their Messiah and were instrumental in him being crucified. I would not want to be in their shoes!

I am indeed glad that the church did not replace Israel.

The Bible has been written for us but it was not written to us. Instruction for Israel under the Old Covenant was instruction for Israel under the Old Covenant. It is not for the church, but we can still learn from it.
