How should we be living if we are in the little season now?
How should we be living if we are in the little season now?
What the Bible reveals is true 100%. However, the Bible does not reveal everything. We have not been told everything there is to know about Heaven. We have not been told everything there is to know about Earth. We have not been told everything there is to know about God. We have eternity to learn.
There is no specific Biblical instruction on how we should be living during the little season. We were given some specific instruction on how we should be living before Christ's return (which is in the past).
1 Cor. 7:25-31
[25] Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
[26] I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
[27] Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
[28] But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
[29] But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
[30] And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
[31] And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
Please consider the things that I have listed and elaborated on below. Towards the conclusion, I do offer one bit of personal advice.
God sometimes conceals.
God has revealed to us in the Holy scriptures what He wants us to know absolutely. some things will remain Mysteries until we are living in the new Heaven and new Earth and the New Jerusalem. And there's no guarantee that we will know then. God's promises are true. But "I beg your pardon God never promised You a rose garden", and He never promised to reveal everything to you in heaven someday, either.
Prov. 25:2
[2] It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Live to put a smile upon God's face!
God smiles (is pleased) when we are loving Him with all our hearts and loving the people He created. Jesus made it clear we are to love our enemies as well.
- Live in submission to God's will.
- Live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
- Live in obedience to the Father.
- Live in love with Jesus Christ and the people that he created in his own image!
- Live in holiness.
God's Word
I could list verses for each of those things but get a copy of the Bible out and read it and you will find them. God's will for how you should be living is revealed in his Word.
I have put a copy of the King James version on a website. Click or tap on the link below and it will open in a new window.
Walk in Wisdom
The little season is a time of great deception. Walk in the Spirit. Walk in prayer. Walk In The Word.
Avoid deception by knowing the Truth intimately. Not just knowing the Scriptures, but knowing Jesus.. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you up every day throughout the day. Walk with God and walk in holiness and if you blow it by sin confess your sins to Jesus right away and get back in fellowship with Him!
One Bit of Personal Advice
2 John 6-11
[6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
[7] For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
[8] Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
[9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
[10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
The doctrine that should unite us is the doctrine of Jesus Christ. That is "What do we believe and say about Jesus Christ the son of God?" Clinging to the truth of Christ is the only doctrine that should divide us.
Or as Paul instructs us we should receive one another but not to doubtful disputations, (Rom. 14:1) and follow after the things which make for peace and edifies each other (Rom. 14:19)
Never allow views on eschatology to become an issue of fellowship in the family of God.
Whether a person is "amil, premil, postmil, or Idontknowmmil" matters not when it comes to fellowship. The body of Jesus Christ has been sinfully and shamefully divided since the beginning of the little season. Jesus our Savior and our Master wants us to be one with Him and with our brethren. Walk In Love With Jesus and in love with your brothers and sisters in Him.
